Spherical lens

The most commonly used types of lenses are spherical lenses, which are used in many different applications to collect, focus and diverge light beams by means of refraction.
Custom spherical lenses include UV, VIS, NIR and IR ranges:

1

From Ø4mm to Ø440mm, surface quality (S&D) up to 10:5 and very precise centering (30 arcsec);
Highest surface accuracy for radii from 2 to infinity;
Made of any type of optical glass including high refractive index glass, quartz, fused silica, sapphire, germanium, ZnSe and other UV/IR materials;
Such a lens is required to be a singlet, or a lens group made of two or more components cemented together, such as an achromatic doublet or triplet. By combining two or three lenses into a single optical element, so-called achromatic or even apochromatic optical systems can be fabricated.
These lens sets drastically reduce chromatic aberration and are manufactured using Trioptics' specific high-precision equipment to ensure maximum accuracy in component alignment. These components are widely used in high quality vision systems, life sciences and microscopes.

100% of the lenses are subject to full quality inspection at every stage of the manufacturing process, allowing total production tracking at every stage of the manufacturing process.
